Southend United's ambitious new stadium plans have still not been fully scrutinised by Southend Council.

The plans for the multi-million pound stadium on Fossetts Farm, Eastern Avenue, are waiting to be considered by Southend Council’s development control committee. It is understood that the plans were submitted in April 2017.

Southend United Chairman Rob Martin has insisted that there is no hold-up with the proposed 21,000 seater stadium and that the council continue to perform their due diligence on the considerable planning project.
